After or before, Gordon. Just not during the shave.

Agreed. This group was something pretty damned unique when it was
running well. I'll still keep and eye on it. I'm mostly on a.h.puns now
locked in corkal mombat with a bloke called LeVine - except this one's

How's things in your world?
I'm good and ready for christmas. Put my tree up and decorations. It's been
a heartbreaking year but life goes on and I look forward to next year and
lots of caravaning. Been to a posh do in Warrington today, I can't spell
the food we were given let alone eat it :) The starter was game apparently,
didn't eat it. The main course was chicken with no veg and the pudding was
cold custard ( Creme brûlée. £20 a head.
It's good to be home with a cuppa tea and a mince pie.

Sorry your year hasn't been any good. As you say there's next year to
look forward to.

Love your idea of creme brulee (cold custard). That's what I've I've
always thought.

Are you heading this way in the van next year at all?

Elf an' safety regs require a minimum of eight. Depending on the gross
weight of the 'van', you might need more. And don't forget, if travelling
at night, you will need something bright and preferably red, to guide
your way.

I was being a bit cheeky there RCarol. The whole point with caravanning,
I think, is the freedom to go where and when you want without too much
pre-planning. But if you ever do end up over this way, we'll happily buy
you two a drink at some local hostelry.

BTW, if you *do* fall off the end of the M5, that's called 'Devon' and
it's quite a nice place fer an oliday. The trainspotting at Dawlish and
Starcross is excellent. Highly recommended ;-)

pre-planning.
I particularilily loved Fowey !
My favourite place down that way is Looe in Cornwall.

Sorry I draw the line at camping in the Gents
Nothing camp about RAlex.

I haven't made plans yet, I do it in jan. I could fall off the end
of the m5 somewhere. We are still new to towing and avoid narrow
roads.
I was being a bit cheeky there RCarol. The whole point with
caravanning, I think, is the freedom to go where and when you want
without too much pre-planning. But if you ever do end up over this
way, we'll happily buy you two a drink at some local hostelry.

At our age, we never want to be far from one of those.

Both Devon and Cornwall are beautiful - I particularilily loved Fowey !
What about Mousehole?
Libby lost her umbrella there, and we had to park on a very narrow pier.
Port Isaac, where they film Doc Martin, was nice but very cramped.

Yes I fancy Port Issac.

At Looe you can't take your car into the village. You park outside the town
limits and walk in.
