Hey, Mick! Long time no hear!
Hello Gordon. Good to 'see' you.

I expect that you can guess from the length of time it's taken me to
reply, that I don't do much on usenet any more, and no, I haven't adopted
the unfortunate social media, I simply don't play on the interweb like I
used to.

What used to be a lot of fun is now not much more than a tool, a
'utility' like the leccy or the gas.

Apart from that aspect, we moved house a bit over a year ago and it's a
'project'. We wanted a bungalow and the only way we could afford one that
was of a decent size, was to buy one that needed 'doing up'. So that's my
life these days. DIY.

Figured it was a two year, at least, thing. I can still do the work, but
as I'm in my late sixties with buggered knees, I simply can't spend the
hours working on the place that I might once have.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, the project has given me a new
lease of life in many ways and I'm loving it, but it's a touch slower.
That's all.

It also means that when I'm done with being the handyman, I as inclined
to fall asleep as I am to spend hours on the computer. Probably more so.

Any road, happy new year my friend. Hope it's a good one.
